THIS RECENT TRIP TOOK US WEST TO GOONDOOWINDI THEN SOUTH THROUGH MOOREE GILGANDRA ON TO DUBBO . COMING HOME VIA THE NEW ENGLAND HIGHWAY STOPPING OVER ON A REMOTE PROPERTY NEAR GLEN INNES . APPROX 2000KLMS COVERED

The camper trailer performed extremely well . It was packed with gear for 2 adults and 2 teenage children ( about the same gear as 4 adults )The icebox had food , drinks and ice for 6 days away . So all up a fairly substanial amount was inside the trailer . On top there were 2 mountain bikes strapped down . We decided to go west through WARWICK then on to GOONDIWINDI .Fuel up then cross the border . The NEWELL HIGHWAY is excellent , which was quite a surprise , as the preceeding weeks N.S.W. had been under seige from heatwave conditions and fires . Anyone travelling QLD - N.S.W. - VIC should use this highway as the klms seem to go by quickly , the towns a good distance apart and are very friendly to the traveller .
